This program is designed to be an introduction to orienteering, and no prior experience is required. The program will begin with approximately 30 minutes of instruction, and courses will take 1-2 hours to complete. Course monitors will keep track of times, but the event is not competitive, and very family friendly.

Kick off the 5 Preserves, 1 Trail Community Hike Series with Pam Weakland, founder of the SEPA Hiking & Adventure Club. Pam has introduced hundreds of people to local trails across southeastern Pennsylvania, building community through shared outdoor experiences.

This monthly hike is for those looking to improve their fitness, efficiency, and endurance while navigating paved and dirt trails. The group will do a total of 60 (intense) minutes on the trail and will start and end back in the parking lot of Prophecy Creek Park.
Come enjoy a serene section of the Wissahickon watershed on this 3 mile hike. This loop hike will begin and end at the historic Evans-Mumbower Mill, traveling along the Green Ribbon Trail, through Natural Lands' Gwynedd Preserve, across three stream crossings, and back on the Green Ribbon Trail to the Mill.
Take a tour of Montgomery County's only water-powered gristmill and experience many hands-on, family-friendly demonstrations. Explore how the power of water and gravity transformed food production and helped establish the surrounding community.
