This fall, Wissahickon Trails will host eight guided hikes along the Green Ribbon Trail. The hikes will vary in length and explore different sections of the 10.5 miles managed by Wissahickon Trails. Participants can join one hike, choose the sections that interest them most, or take part in the full series!
Hike
Come enjoy a serene section of the Wissahickon watershed on this 3 mile hike. The Fox Loop will begin and end at the historic Evans-Mumbower Mill, traveling along the Green Ribbon Trail, through Natural Lands' Gwynedd Preserve, across stream crossings, and back on the Green Ribbon Trail to the Mill.
Enjoy a Sunday Funday amid the beauty of the Wissahickon Creek. This family & dog friendly event will have food trucks, local craft breweries, and live music.

This 10-mile hike is a unique opportunity to experience the full power of connection in the Wissahickon watershed. Starting and ending at Wissahickon Trails headquarters in Ambler, this moderately paced hike will take participants onto the Green Ribbon Trail and through all five preserves connected by the 5 Preserves, 1 Trail initiative
These volunteer stewardship days will primarily take place within Penllyn Natural Area where we will conduct a series of projects designed to enrich the health of the plant and animal life of the preserve and improve the experience of trail users.
