Local History

Family Friendly

Alex McWhorteri

Take a tour of Montgomery County's only water-powered gristmill and experience many hands-on, family-friendly demonstrations! Our resident blacksmith will be conducting a demonstration at 1p, and at 2p we will be leading a guided walk along the former millrace that powered the mill. The walk will be 1 mile and will last approximately an hour.

The Evans-Mumbower Mill is located on the Wissahickon Creek at Swedesford and Township Line Roads in North Wales, PA. Click here to see a map.

We are happy to offer this program at no cost to participants, but if you are able, a $10 suggested donation would be greatly appreciated. Wissahickon Trails is a local, community-supported nonprofit. Our budget depends entirely on the generosity of our supporters—individuals, foundations, and corporations.  Donate online today.
