Join staff for a roughly 6-mile out-and-back hike along the Green Ribbon Trail from its start in North Wales to Route 202. See where the trail was re-routed to pass under the new 202 bridge via a concrete path beside the Wissahickon Creek.
Accessibility info:
This will be a moderately-paced, approximately 2-hour hike. Participants can expect to walk about 1 mile per 30 minutes. Trail surface includes asphalt, hard-packed dirt, wooden boardwalks and bridges, and mowed grass. There are three stepping stone crossings across the Wissahickon Creek and several road crossings. Trail is mostly flat but there are a few inclines of up to 20%. The Parkside Place bathroom will be open at the beginning and end of the hike.
We are happy to offer our programs at no cost to participants, but if you are able, a $10 suggested donation would be greatly appreciated.
