Join runners from around the region for a 5-mile trail race on the award-winning Green Ribbon Trail in Montgomery County. The Green Ribbon Trail is designated by the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Planning Association as one of the 2022 Great Places in Pennsylvania in the category of Great Greenways and Trails. Fees

$35 through 11/4/22 at noon; $40 Day of Race 

Includes: T-shirts - short sleeve, technical unisex shirts (while supplies last) and post-race brunch.

Donate or raise $100 (in addition to the registration fee) and get a Wissahickon Trails winter beanie.

 

Race Details 

  • Race start: 9:00 a.m. ; runners MUST clear the course by 10:15 a.m.

  • The race starts and ends at Parkside Place in Upper Gwynedd Township, 1 Parkside Drive, North Wales, PA 19454 

  • No dogs or strollers permitted 

  • Professional chip timing by Run the Day 
  • Police & volunteers will assist with road crossings.

 

Course

The 5-mile trail race will start at Parkside Place in North Wales and follow the Green Ribbon Trail downstream, turn onto Swedesford Road at Wissahickon Trails’ Evans-Mumbower Mill, run up Evergreen Drive, then circle through  Natural Lands' Gwynedd Preserve, reconnect with the Green Ribbon Trail and finish back at Parkside Place. The course is a natural, wooded trail with a variety of surfaces - dirt, gravel, grass, some single-track, two sets of stepping-stones and a few paved sections. It is mostly flat, with a few climbs and descents. Course map >>

 

Awards

Prizes provided by North Wales Running Company  

  • 1st male and female - $50  
  • 2nd male and female - $30 
  • 3rd male and female - $15 

Age Group awards- 1st (only) in age groups - $10 

Prizes will be awarded to the 1st place male and female runners in 10-year age groups: 15 and under, 16-19, up to 70 & older

Make a donation to support Wissahickon Trails and your local environment – protecting the land, trails and waterways of the Wissahickon Valley. With over 24 miles of trails stretched across 12 preserves in Montgomery County, Wissahickon Trails offers something for everyone.
