Evans-Mumbower Mill Open House & 1.5 Mile Nature Walk

Sunday, November 13 at 01:00 pm

Local History

Family Friendly

Take a tour of Montgomery County's only water-powered gristmill and experience many hands-on, family-friendly demonstrations. We will be lighting a bonfire for warmth and s’mores throughout the event!   Also join us on a guided 1.5-mile nature walk along the Green Ribbon Trail. Led by a volunteer arborist, the walk will follow the Mill’s original headrace (the channel that originally brought water to the Mill) to the former site of the Mill dam constructed in 1744. The walk will begin at 2p and should last approximately 45 minutes.

The Evans-Mumbower Mill is located on the Wissahickon Creek at Swedesford and Township Line Roads in North Wales, PA. Click here to see a map.

We are happy to offer this in-person program at no cost to participants, but if you are able, a $10 suggested donation would be greatly appreciated. Wissahickon Trails is a local, community-supported nonprofit. Our budget depends entirely on the generosity of our supporters—individuals, foundations, and corporations.  Donate online today.
