The pandemic might have delayed us but it won’t stop us from cleaning up the Wissahickon Creek. Volunteer for the 50th Annual Wissahickon Creek Clean Up on Saturday, September 12. This is the perfect outdoor event to show your support and love for a clean Wissahickon watershed, while keeping safely physically distant from others.

Sign Up For Your Section

All volunteers are pre-assigned to sections of the Creek, its tributaries and the trail. Use this SignUp Genius form to sign up for a section. Each section lists the clean-up location, how many cars can park there and the number of recommended volunteers.

Click here to see a full list of sites with maps. Maps include where to park, start cleaning, stop cleaning and leave the trash you collect.

Click here to sign an electronic event waiver or you can sign a paper version at supply pick-up.

Contactless Supply Pick-Up

Volunteers can pick-up their bags and supplies at Wissahickon Trails' headquarters  (12 Morris Rd, Ambler, PA, 19002) during the following dates and times. Due to staff working from home, these are the only times for supply pick-up. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Tuesday, 9/8 from 8:00am - 11:00am
  • Wednesday, 9/9 from 9:00am - 12:00pm and 3:00pm - 6:00pm
  • Thursday, 9/10 from 9:30am - 1:00pm
  • Friday, 9/11 from 11:00am - 2:00pm
  • Saturday, 9/12 from 8:00am - 10:00am

All volunteers are required to wear masks and keep at least the recommended 6-foot distance from other volunteers not in your household group.

Most participants begin cleaning around 9:00 am, but that time is flexible. Report directly to your assigned section and leave your trash in the designated areas by 1:00pm.

To keep our volunteers and staff safe, we will not be holding our Talkin’ Trash picnic this year but we still want to see and hear about your hard work cleaning up the Creek. Share your photos on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and use #creekcleanup. Be sure to tag us in your posts!
