The first Wissahickon Creek Clean Up was held in 1970 to coincide with the first Earth Day. Celebrate the 52nd anniversary of both events and volunteer to help clean the Wissahickon Creek, its tributaries and local trails on Saturday, April 30. This is the perfect outdoor event to show your support and love for a clean Wissahickon watershed. We are continuing our partnership for this event with our downstream partners at Friends of the Wissahickon to ensure a clean Wissahickon in both Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.
Registration
All volunteers choose a pre-assigned section of the Creek, its tributaries or the trail. View the list of sections in the spreadsheet which includes links to google maps and downloadable maps and shows parking and trash drop locations.

Be prepared for to get wet and/or muddy. Volunteers are asked to clean both the surrounding trails and in the creek. Old shoes, rain boots, or waders are suggested.
