Connected Wissahickon: 2.5 mi. Sunrise Hike

Thursday, March 20 at 07:00 am

Hike

Madalyn Neffi

Join us as we welcome the arrival of spring at sunrise. This roughly 2.5-mile hike will begin by taking in the sunrise at Prophecy Creek Park. We will then venture through four nature preserves, absorbing the early morning as the forest begins to stir. The hike will take you through our Briar Hill, Cheston, Hughes, and Camp Woods Preserves, showcasing the trail connections that link them all.

Meet and park at Prophecy Creek Park. From there, hike through Briar Hill to the Hughes Family Preserve and Camp Woods' meadow. The return route will loop through the Cheston Family Preserve, and we’ll end at Prophecy Creek Park, where the hike begins.

At a moderate 25-30-minute/mile pace, with breaks, we estimate this roughly 2.5-mile hike to take 1.5 hours.
