Join the Appalachian Mountain Club – Delaware Chapter for a special guided hike through Wissahickon Trails’ network of protected lands. The 7-mile route will wind through seven of our preserves, highlighting the diverse landscapes and ecosystems we work to protect.
Along the way, participants will be joined by Harm Scherpbier, Wissahickon Trails board member, who will share stories and insights about our conservation efforts, land and water initiatives, and the history behind these preserved spaces.
The hike will begin and end at Four Mills Barn, our headquarters in Ambler, and include stops at Camp Woods, Armentrout Preserve, Hughes Preserve, Briar Hill Preserve, Prophecy Creek Park, Willow Lake Farm Preserve, and The Highlands.
Wissahickon Trails works with landowners and partners to protect open space for people and wildlife. With over 24 miles of publicly accessible trails, we’re proud to share these landscapes with our community and partner organizations like AMC who help more people experience them firsthand.
