This fall, Wissahickon Trails will host eight guided hikes along the Green Ribbon Trail. The hikes will vary in length and explore different sections of the 10.5 miles managed by Wissahickon Trails. Participants can join one hike, choose the sections that interest them most, or take part in the full series!
Hike
Join us in exploring Willow Lake Farm Preserve. This roughly 4-mile hike will take you through this unique nature preserve and showcase the trail connection to The Highlands Mansion and Gardens.
All Hikers
Come enjoy a serene section of the Wissahickon watershed on this 3 mile hike. The Fox Loop will begin and end at the historic Evans-Mumbower Mill, traveling along the Green Ribbon Trail, through Natural Lands' Gwynedd Preserve, across stream crossings, and back on the Green Ribbon Trail to the Mill.
This 10-mile hike is a unique opportunity to experience the full power of connection in the Wissahickon watershed. Starting and ending at Wissahickon Trails headquarters in Ambler, this moderately paced hike will take participants onto the Green Ribbon Trail and through all five preserves connected by the 5 Preserves, 1 Trail initiative
Join us for an exploration of the Green Ribbon Trail from Well Crafted Brewery in Ambler. This hike will show you how to connect from Ambler Township to Lower Gwynedd trails to the Green Ribbon Trail and Wissahickon Waterfowl Preserve.
