Looking to sharpen your birding skills? In this introductory class, you’ll learn how to recognize and distinguish a variety of diurnal  raptors (e.g., hawks, eagles, falcons, etc.) .  We’ll look at the key features that make raptors unique and cover specifics  like size, shape, flight patterns, plumage, and habitat for the most common raptors of our area. We’ll also discuss helpful behavioral clues to sharpen your in-flight identification skills. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to build confidence in the field, this program will give you the tools and techniques identify raptors with newfound confidence.

This program is being offered in conjunction with the Raptor Identification Field Trip to Cape May. Registration for each program should be made separately, and attendance at both program sessions is encouraged, but not required.
