Celebrate National Moth Week and discover more about some of the most gorgeous nighttime critters, moths. Moths are an underappreciated creature in our gardens, mostly because they are most active when we are sound asleep, so we’re trying something new to help you see them.
Wissahickon Trails staff will be monitoring a moth light station throughout the night prior to this program. They will collect a variety of moths and hold them to be viewed during the program. In addition to the viewing, we will talk about their lifecycle, how to identify them, and how to make your yard more inviting to them. We will also provide information on how you can set up a home moth light station to see what moths are in your yard.
