Take a tour of Montgomery County's only water-powered gristmill and experience many hands-on, family-friendly demonstrations! The Evans-Mumbower Mill is located on the Wissahickon Creek at Swedesford and Township Line Roads in North Wales, PA. Click here to see a map.

November Open House:

At 2p we will be leading a guided walk along the former millrace that powered the mill. This slow paced walk will be roughly one mile and will begin at the Mill's fire pit at 2pm.

The hike will follow the now-dry mill race and follow it's route to the site of the historic Mill dam. Along the way, we will visit the nearby stone quarries that help create a lake large enough for people to boat, fish, swim, and camp.

On the return trip, we will hike along a section of the Green Ribbon Trail and appreciate two massive 250 yr. old American Sycamore trees. The walk will finish at the glowing fire pit back at the Mill in about an hour.

We are happy to offer this program at no cost to participants, but if you are able, a $10 suggested donation would be greatly appreciated. Wissahickon Trails is a local, community-supported nonprofit. Our budget depends entirely on the generosity of our supporters—individuals, foundations, and corporations.  Donate online today.
