Chimney Swift Watch

Watching Chimney Swifts come in to roost is quite the spectacle! They spend a lot of time swirling around in the air before dropping into their roost site.

Bring a chair and binoculars and join us in the parking lot of the Junge Ice Rink & Pavilion (3002 Cairnwood Dr, Bryn Athyn, PA 19009) to watch swifts descend into a nearby chimney for the night. Because swifts change their roosting spot, it is not guaranteed to see them the night we are watching. This is a joint program with Wissahickon Trails, Liberty Bird Alliance, and the Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust. This event is free but registration is required.
