Participate in the 127th Audubon Christmas Bird Count! Join Wissahickon Trails staff and explore Four Mills Nature Reserve to count all the winter species we see and hear.

This important, long-running wildlife census collects data across North America (and a bit of South America) to assess the health of bird populations, and to help guide conservation action. More information on the history of the Christmas Bird Count can be found here: https://www.audubon.org/conservation/history-christmas-bird-count

Previous years have found Winter Wren, Brown Creeper, and Barred Owl at this site.

All levels of birders welcome (including beginners!)

The walk will last approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Sturdy, waterproof shoes are recommended. Bring binoculars (or borrows ours!)
