As creatures of the night, owls are harder to get to know than other birds and an encounter with one is always memorable. Join Senior Naturalist Kristy Morley for a comprehensive look at what makes owls so special. We’ll focus on the owls of the area and learn about the physical and behavioral adaptations of owls that make them some of nature's most accomplished predators. Learn how to find owls and respectfully observe them in the wild. We'll start indoors for the presentation and then spend some time outside to (hopefully) hear some of our local owls.
We are happy to offer programs at no cost to participants, but if you are able, a $10 suggested donation would be greatly appreciated. Wissahickon Trails is a local, community-supported nonprofit. Our budget depends entirely on the generosity of our supporters—individuals, foundations, and corporations. Donate online today.
