Hike description:
Meet and park at the Four Mills Barn. From there we will hike north on the Green Ribbon Trail to arrive at Penllyn Woods (~3 miles). This stretch of the hike is through wooded areas and along the Wissahickon Creek. At Penllyn Woods, we'll connect with the County Trail, which is paved and passes through a residential area for less than a mile. After two road crossings, the County Trail enters Crossways Preserve, where it becomes mowed grass and then crushed stone, and passes a small wetland before coming out at the parking lot at Crossways. We'll then take a short water/snack/rest break (~4 miles in) in the parking lot, where there is a meadow view, then retrace our steps to the Barn.
